How To Work Through Your Love Relationship Issues

Relationship Problems

Let’s face it, there is no perfect relationship. Any relationship worth having is worth working on. However, sometimes there are serious issues in relationships that seem insurmountable. How does one go about working on these?

To begin with, what is insurmountable for one couple may not be insurmountable for another. Each couple will have two people with different perspectives on many things.

Recognising this may be a huge step toward working through love relationship issues. Often people come into a relationship with a preconceived notion of ‘how things should be’. Of course, things are rarely like the preconceived notion.

In order for a relationship to work couples must learn to compromise. Compromise isn’t as easy for some as it is for others but generally speaking it can be done. Often one partner in the love relationship is a bit better at compromise than the other.

That’s not to say the other partner is wrong, they just look at things differently. It’s important to remember that each family of origin had different rules so often all it requires is that a couple create their own rules for their own family.

That makes it pretty simple, except for the fact that the previous set of rules are often so ingrained in our brains that we are hard pressed to forget them. However, with time and effort they can be remolded into the new rules that are right for the new couple.

Other issues that often crop up are jealousy. Jealousy is a difficult issue to deal with. Understanding that the other partner chose you out of the crowd is a first step in helping deal with jealousy.

Often jealousy is a form of low self esteem. To deal with this take a moment (in private) and list all of your good qualities. It might be your eyes, your smile, your laugh etc. but list them. Keep this list handy. You’re worthy of love and respect and honor.

Couple Relaxed And Happy

Now put a smile on and go out and face the day. Don’t let jealousy consume or interrupt the relationship, you’re too good for that. Jealousy is very destructive so trust your partner and remember that you’re worthy. If they prove unworthy don’t stress about it, it wasn’t you that cheated. You deserve better and you’re worthy and will find someone better.
